Some folks say businesses should stay quiet when it comes to “those types of views.”

You know - views about human rights, love, identity, and belonging. But here at The Merry Assistant, we believe something different:

If your views celebrate people for who they are, they’re exactly the kind of thing worth speaking up about.
And if your views hurt, exclude, or shame others for simply existing? Well… those can go straight into the litter box.

June is Pride Month - a time to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, amplify queer voices, and remind the world that love is love. We’re here for that. We’re loud about that. And we’re proud of that.

What Pride Means to Us

At The Merry Assistant, we believe that:

  • Everyone deserves respect, safety, and joy—no matter who they love, how they identify, or how they show up in the world.

  • Authenticity is a superpower.

  • Love wins (and naps help).

We don’t just support diversity and inclusion because it’s trendy.

We support it because it’s right. Because every client, every collaborator, every human - and yes, even every cat - deserves a place at the table (or on the keyboard, if you're Marble).

Our feline team makes it pretty clear:

  • Leo says boundaries are beautiful (especially when you respect others’).

  • Izzy welcomes everyone with a head boop and a purr.

  • Pearl ensures the vibe is always safe, warm, and paws-itively welcoming.

  • Marble doesn’t care who you are, as long as you share your snacks.

We take our cues from them daily.

You belong here. Your stories matter. Your identity is valid. And we’re honored to work with, cheer for, and support you - this month and every month.

So no, we won’t be quiet.
We’ll be proud.
And we’ll always make room for everyone in our cozy, cat-loving corner of the internet.

Celebrating Pride in June is a great tradition - but inclusion doesn’t have an expiration date. If your business values kindness, equity, and authenticity, those values should shine through every season.

So how can a business be inclusive all year long?

✨ Hire and collaborate with LGBTQIA+ creators, professionals, and vendors.
✨ Use your platforms to share diverse stories and voices.
✨ Make your policies and spaces (virtual or otherwise) welcoming for everyone.
✨ Learn, unlearn, and keep listening. Progress is a journey, not a checkbox.
